Ostrava – The most populous district of Ostrava, Jih, is looking for investors for three of its plots. It aims to sell, for instance, the site of a former football field on Svazácká Street in the Zábřeh area. The area, approximately 40,000 m², adjoins an outdoor water complex. Residents of the district have long wanted an indoor water park to be built in the location. Gabriela Gödelová, the spokesperson for the municipal office, told ČTK.
"Residents would like to see an indoor water park next to the water park, which is lacking in Jih. However, that is not a requirement. The area is designated for an investor in the field of sports and leisure, so we look forward to interesting offers for leisure activities for everyone," said Mayor Martin Bednář (ANO). The minimum price recommended by the district is 1500 crowns per square meter. The sale proposal has already been approved by the district council, but it will still be discussed by the city council.
Another offered location for sale is located on Středoškolská Street. "The plot is designated for residential construction. Its size is about 20,000 m². The price has not yet been determined, as a public discussion will take place next week. Subsequently, the sale proposal will be discussed by the Ostrava-Jih district council in September and then by the Ostrava city council," specified Gödelová.
The third plot the district would like to sell is located on Plzeňská Street in the Hrabůvka area opposite the district office. Interested parties can already submit their proposals for the use of the land. The area covers about 10,000 m², and the investor must pay a minimum of 1500 crowns per square meter. "Our district, representing a third of Ostrava, is an attractive location with the potential to attract an investor with their own financial resources," believes Bednář. The district intends to offer all areas until it finds an investor who presents the most suitable architectural proposal. The sale of the plots is being consulted with the City Hall of Ostrava and the City Office of Spatial Planning and Architecture, similar to other areas.
