Prague – The international jury of the Czech Architecture Award has nominated 29 buildings from 201 entries for this year's winner. The most nominated projects are this year in Prague and the Zlín Region, with five each, and traditionally, the most nominated are residential buildings. The nominations were announced today in the Waldstein Garden, where the organizing Czech Chamber of Architects also honored architect and designer Eva Jiřičná. The main prize winner and other finalists will be announced in November.
A new addition to the Czech Architecture Award this year is the Senate Chairman's Prize. It was awarded to architects from the Consequence forma architects studio for the construction of the school gymnasium, which serves as a sports hall for the public in Nový Hrozenkov.
