Even in a time when the term floating floors is being declined in almost all cases, fully glued coverings remain among the favorites and are recommended by experts. The benefits of fully glued wooden parquet or parquet strips have been tested over decades of satisfied use in both private and commercial spaces. These coverings continue to remain "in", they are natural, elegant, practical, and additionally offer countless possibilities in design. You can also have a floor created for you, perhaps like in a castle - from the classic English pattern to herringbone and even a braid pattern. The coverings are durable, stable, and will serve you well, not only now but perhaps even for further generations.
Let's now imagine Swiss two-layer parquet flooring from Bauwerk, characterized by more than 60 years of tradition, quality materials processed according to ecological production principles, and a selection of both European and exotic woods of various classifications, dimensions, and surface finishes. The parquet flooring is suitable for regular use in residential and office environments. Due to its special two-layer construction, which is glued directly to the subfloor, it exhibits ideal properties when installed over underfloor heating. In the Czech market, Bauwerk flooring is exclusively imported by Kratochvíl parket profi, s.r.o. Among the range of collections that this brand of wooden floors includes, let’s focus on the CleverPark collection. Additionally, selected parquets from this collection have been included in a sales campaign by Kratochvíl parket profi, which is valid until the end of 2011 or until supplies last. You can now purchase five wood decors, including oak, walnut, and kambala, at an average discount of 20%. More information about this special sales promotion can be found on the website www.kpp.cz.

Bauwerk CleverPark wooden parquets for installation on underfloor heating
The floor panels from Bauwerk's CleverPark collection are pre-manufactured two-layer parquets with a tongue and groove design measuring 1250 x 100 x 9.5 mm. The individual panels, in calm and uniform to very pronounced designs with the natural texture of raw wood, are protected by a layer of matte varnish. The two-layer composition, where a 2.5 mm thick top wear layer of solid wood lies atop a high-density HDF fiberboard, ensures a stable structure that is also ideal for installation over underfloor heating. The special two-layer construction of the floor, which is glued directly to the subfloor, exhibits very good properties in terms of heat transfer into the room. Compared to 15mm wooden multilayer floors, the thermal resistance value of the CleverPark collection flooring is only 0.049 KW/m², while a floating wooden floor of 15 mm thickness is around 0.16 KW/m². Due to the faster heat transfer from the underfloor heating through the flooring into the room, there is a noticeable reduction in heating operating costs. The full-surface gluing minimizes impact noise, and when implementing larger areas, it does not require interrupting the flooring with an expansion joint. Other advantages include an antistatic surface or a myriad of shades and surface finishes. In the collection, you will find stained and brushed finishes as well as pieces with beveled edges.

How to care for glued wooden floors?
The Bauwerk parquets are already protected by a layer of durable Duroforte lacquer from production, which is long-lasting and emphasizes the natural beauty of the wood. The manufacturer recommends performing preventive protection of the entire flooring with a solvent-based wax polish from Bauwerk immediately after installation. This will protect the joints and edges and prevent dirt and moisture from penetrating into the micro gaps/joints between the parquets. This step is particularly recommended for flooring made from woods that are generally more susceptible to moisture, such as birch and maple. For everyday cleaning, you can of course use a soft broom, mop, or vacuum cleaner. It is important to remove traces of sand or other "sharp" impurities from the surface. We should also be vigilant when water is present on the flooring, which should be wiped up as quickly as possible. Classic mopping with a damp mop or cloth is a matter of course. You can add cleaning agents from Bauwerk or other pH-neutral products for wooden flooring to the water. The manufacturer also has a special product for removing stains that water cannot handle. Occasionally, it’s good to polish the parquets; not only does this create an additional protective layer, but it also refreshes the appearance of the floor. Well-maintained parquets will serve you for decades. In the case of more demanding use, it is of course possible to completely sand down the flooring and re-lacquer it.
