How to think about the future of cities – and the entire country? Dutch architect Winy Maas has been working in the Czech Republic for three years as a visiting teacher at ARCHIP and the FA ČVUT. Together with students, he explores how bold and research-based concepts can help transform Czech cities. In the lecture, he will present key visions that emerged during this collaboration. At ARCHIP, he led the studio The Sky City: Der Himmel über Prag, where students focused on creating an alternative city in the clouds above Prague. At the Faculty of Architecture at ČVUT, he was behind the Next Planet study, which examined various ways in which architecture and design can respond to global climate change.
