The Foundation of Czech Architecture announces a selection process for the operator of the Architecture Gallery in the foundation's exhibition spaces in the building on Starobrněnská Street in Brno for the period from January 1, 2019, to December 31, 2023.
The gallerist should build on the tradition of architectural exhibitions during this period with a new exhibition program, aimed not only at presenting significant domestic and international architectural creations but also at making the theme of architecture accessible to a broader lay audience and connecting it with the real life of people, cities, and landscapes.
Applicants with an education in fields related to architecture, with domestic or international experience in presenting architecture, with an opinion, perspective, breadth and vision, with management and coordination skills for a broader range of activities, with experience in international cooperation and grant applications for domestic or international projects will be especially welcomed.
The Foundation will provide the selected gallerist with exhibition spaces for a symbolic rent and will support their activities with foundation contributions.
Interested parties should apply no later than June 30, 2018, at the correspondence address of the NČA Office (Foundation of Czech Architecture, Mánes - Masarykovo nábřeží 250, 110 00 Prague 1), describing their education, experience, and vision for the future direction of the gallery, and accompany their experiences and intentions with any examples, links, or other presentations, or recommendations from recognized authorities.
Interviews with applicants will take place in the summer months, and the Foundation's board of directors will decide on the selection of the next gallerist by the end of September 2018.
