NČA announces a selection procedure for the operator of GAB

The Czech Architecture Foundation announces a tender for the operator of the architecture gallery in the foundation's exhibition spaces at the house on Starobrněnská Street in Brno for the period from January 1, 2019, to December 31, 2023.

The gallery operator should, during this period, build on the tradition of architectural exhibitions with a new exhibition program aimed at not only presenting significant domestic and global architectural creation but also making the topic of architecture accessible to a broader lay public and connecting it with the real lives of people, cities, and landscapes.
Applicants with education related to architecture, domestic or foreign experience in presenting architecture, a perspective outlook, a broader vision, management and coordination skills of various activities, experience with international cooperation, and knowledge of granting domestic or even international projects will be particularly welcomed.
The foundation will provide the selected gallery operator with exhibition spaces for a symbolic rent and will support their activities with foundation contributions.
Interested parties should apply no later than June 30, 2018, at the correspondence address of the NČA Office (Czech Architecture Foundation, Mánes - Masarykovo nábřeží 250, 110 00 Prague 1), describing their education, experience, and vision for the future direction of the gallery, accompanied by any examples, links, or other presentations, or recommendations from recognized authorities.
Interviews with applicants will take place during the summer months, and the foundation's board will decide on the selection of the next gallery operator by the end of September 2018.
