LightTunnel tubular daylighting devices allow natural light to illuminate rooms where vertical facade or roof windows cannot be installed. Once installed, they practically require no maintenance.
Flat Glazed Daylight Devices: Flat glazed daylight devices, whose elements are installed on the roof plane and do not protrude above the roofing level, thereby not disrupting the uniformity of the roof. They are available in two variants:
1. SR Flat Glazed Daylight Device - with a solid daylighting tube and integrated flashing. Also available in the version SR_-L, which illuminates the spaces directly below the installed daylight device.
2. SF Flat Glazed Daylight Device - with a flexible daylighting tube and integrated flashing. Also available in the version SF_-L for illuminating spaces directly below the installed daylight device.

Innovative solutions used in the daylighting devices also allow simultaneous illumination of the attic and the room.
Roof part of the daylighting device consists of an aluminum frame, into which 4 mm thick tempered glass is glued. A component allowing connection to the daylighting tube is mounted internally in the frame profile. It is made of aluminum sheet or special organic glass (version with additional illumination of attic spaces - L). The roof part of the daylighting device includes a sealing collar. The whole is in a grey-brown color RAL 7022, which matches the commonly available colors of roofing materials.
Section with flexible tube
Ceiling frame has a new construction, is made of organic glass, and contains a glued component that diffuses light. The cover is made of durable material in a milky white color. Ceiling parts of the flat glazed daylight devices are more rounded than those of the dome daylight devices.
The daylighting tube can be solid or flexible:
- Solid daylighting tube is made of aluminum. The inside of the tube is coated with a super-reflective layer based on silver, which reflects more than 98% of the light (a new mirror reflects 90-95% of light). Minimal light transmission losses allow the use of SRT daylighting devices with lengths of up to 12 m. During installation, it is not necessary to shorten individual parts of the daylighting tube because it is assembled on the principle of a telescope. To obtain the desired length, it is sufficient to simply slide one part into another. - Flexible daylighting tube is made of metallized polyester and reinforced with steel wire. This construction allows for the creation of a structurally stable daylighting tube. Due to its characteristics, it is an ideal solution for installation over short distances in spaces with construction obstacles that must be avoided. The recommended maximum length of the flexible daylighting tube is 4 m for a diameter of 350 mm and 6 m for a diameter of 550 mm.
New versions of flat glazed daylight devices excel with up to 10% better thermal transmittance coefficient U compared to daylight devices in dome version. Flat glazed daylight devices have integrated sealing collars, which reduces the installation time to the necessary minimum.
