Brno - More than 25,000 people visited the four-day construction fair at the Brno Exhibition Center. This was stated today by the event spokesperson Iva Hilbertová on the final day in a press release. Specialists, interested parties in construction and renovations, as well as end customers attended. The fairs included the apprenticeships championships of the Czech Republic in seven trades, as well as the largest showcase of student design.

The Brno Construction Fair, DSB - Wood and Construction Brno, and the furniture and interior design fair Mobitex were held nearly two months earlier than in previous years to precede the start of the construction season. A total of 256 exhibitors, primarily from the Czech Republic, presented their offerings. In addition to the traditional pavilions P and F, the Z pavilion was also occupied. "A record 15 booths with free professional consultations were opened," said Hilbertová.

Pavilion P offered a presentation of construction and related fields. "Leading companies and brands from the Czech construction market, such as FenSTar, Lomax, Sun System, Thermona, Velux, Ytong, and others, were presented," said Hilbertová. Four products that save human health, natural resources, and the environment received awards. The trio of Gold Medals was shared by the sliding roof tile Salsa 13 from Tondach ČR, the intelligent control unit for indoor environments Velux Active from Velux ČR, and the Chameleon Hybrid heat pump from Tepelných čerpadel Mach. An Honourable Mention went to the glass photovoltaic tile Hanergy HanTile, exhibited by Czech Energy Team.

Those interested in furniture, home accessories, and interior design found what they were looking for in Pavilion F. "The showcase displayed trends in design, as well as technological innovations of so-called smart homes or furniture for healthy sleeping and sitting," said Hilbertová. The Mobitex fair awards went to the Karolína bedroom by Jitona, the Terma Camber radiator from exhibitor Dobráklíma, the Deira bedroom from Postelia, the collection of linen bags for bread Chlieb from the Slovak workshop Localhand, and the dining table from Czech manufacturer Wood 4 Ever.

In Pavilion Z, the vocational competitions for construction trades were moved from the open spaces. The Masters of Ordinary Days 2019 was a three-day event that showcased the best students from vocational schools in several fields. Young roofers, tilers, carpenters, chimney sweeps, and upholsterers competed for the title of national champions.
