Buštěhrad - Buštěhrad already has a project for further renovations of the castle. In the currently unrenovated eastern wing, there will be a branch of the practical school, a pedagogical-psychological counseling center, and spaces for local scouts. The city now intends to submit an application for a building permit and subsequently apply for European funding. The total estimated costs should be approximately 50 million crowns. This year, the city plans to renovate the central wing. The Czech News Agency reported this from the mayor of Buštěhrad, Daniela Javorčeková (the Společně association).

This year, the city wants to renovate another part of the central wing of the castle, specifically the spaces above the recently opened information center. The costs will be around three million crowns. However, it will depend on whether the city hall manages to obtain a grant from the Central Bohemian Region or the Ministry of Culture.

"The city office is expanding in terms of personnel, so we need additional offices. At the same time, this already renovated part of the castle is used not only by the city office but also by the basic art school and several associations; the spaces are very frequented, so additional ones will be very useful," stated the mayor.

The Practical School Slunce is based in Unhošť, and the planned Buštěhrad branch in the eastern wing of the castle, including a room for special therapies, will serve students with various disabilities. The Buštěhrad scouts will collaborate with the practical school.

The Buštěhrad town hall is located in the western, already renovated wing of the castle. Two-thirds of the castle, including nearly two hectares of land, was transferred to the region free of charge from Buštěhrad in October 2010. The then-management of the regional office wanted to turn the monument into a representative regional seat, which ultimately did not happen. The property is known from the corruption case of former governor David Rath (formerly of the ČSSD). Parts of the castle were transferred back to the town free of charge by the regional office in 2017.
