How are the students of UMPRUM prepared for their own professional paths? And what has studying at this school provided them? The exhibition Diplomky and bakalářky regularly introduces the final works of its students. During the showcase, the school transforms into one big exhibition. The audience can thus get acquainted in detail with the final projects, visions, as well as the artistic and craft skills of their authors directly at the place of creation and development, in the Technological Center of UMPRUM and newly also in the Karlín Barracks. The exhibition will feature more than 120 graduate works from the fields of architecture, design, graphics, applied and fine arts. The works of the Departments of Architecture, Applied Arts and part of the works of Graphics and Fine Arts are located in the Technological Center of UMPRUM. At the Karlín Barracks, the works of the Design Department and additional creations from the departments of Graphics and Fine Arts are concentrated. Many of the projects reflect current social topics and bring suggestions for improvement in various areas, whether it concerns everyday life, care, or environmental issues. „UMPRUM has two great successes behind it this year: high ratings in the QS World University Rankings and inclusion in the highest category within the national evaluation of research organizations. But I am also very pleased with the exhibition Diplomky and bakalářky, which is for me a new proof of the creativity of our recent graduates. It shows how studying at UMPRUM develops talent and technical skills, while also encouraging reflection on contemporary events and innovative solutions to social problems“, evaluates the work of this year's graduates, the rector of UMPRUM, prof. Jindřich Vybíral. The exhibition Diplomky and bakalářky 2026, in addition to urgent themes, unites a common graphic visual. The spatial solution of the exhibition in the entrance hall of the Technological Center Mikulandská works with scaffolding tubes, which until recently were part of a temporary artistic installation on the façade of the historic building. The transfer of the scaffolding as a supporting structure of the exhibited works creates a discreet exhibition landscape, whose aim is to present the works in as diverse a range as the school possesses. The authors of the installation are the duo Dominik Lang and Adéla Vavřínková. „In this case, among other things, we have tried to ensure fully barrier-free access in the Technological Center of UMPRUM using assistance stair climbers. In the historic building of the Karlín Barracks, this remains a challenge for future events,“ say the authors of the architectural solution. The exhibition can be perceived as a symbolic entry gate to the next creative stage, confirming that the students are ready for their own creative practice and have something to offer to society. Visitors can see for themselves the quality of their preparedness until Tuesday, June 30. 6. – 30. 6. 2026 Technological Center UMPRUM, Mikulandská 134/5, Prague 1 UMPRUM, Karlín Barracks, Křižíkova 20/12, Prague 8
