Plastic windows don’t have to be just plain white. The specially hardened surface finish VEKA SPECTRAL adds color to them and also provides a range of other advantages, such as increased scratch resistance and the ability to repel dirt. VEKA, the manufacturer of high-class A plastic window and door profiles, offers this surface finish in 11 color shades.

The main reason VEKA SPECTRAL was introduced to the Czech market in 2017 was the growing demand for plastic window profiles in various colors. Developers, architects, designers, and even end customers seek a more diverse coloration for their projects and want to highlight the overall effect with visually unique windows. "We are therefore very pleased that we can offer them a wider palette of colors this year than last year, as we added two new shades to the existing nine – sepia brown and wine red," specifies Milan Klepsa, the main representative of VEKA for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Gray and brown are favorites in the Czech Republic

Windows in various colors are becoming increasingly popular. "Since the technology was launched on the market, we have manufactured and delivered several thousand VEKA SPECTRAL windows. Approximately one in five new family homes we equip with windows features this surface finish. Customers mostly prefer matte shades of gray and brown from the color palette, specifically anthracite gray and umbra. I see the reasons for these preferences primarily in the current trend of European architecture, which favors darker, matte shades. Czechs are keeping up with the times in this regard," says Pavel Homolka, sales director of OKNOTHERM, which, as a business partner of VEKA, was among the first to include the VEKA SPECTRAL surface finish in its product offering. A significant advantage for customers may also be that the VEKA SPECTRAL finish can be combined with design accessories, such as matte window handles, door panels, door entrance handles, or railings.

Extended warranty

The German family company VEKA has prided itself on the quality of its production and processing since its foundation in 1969, and the requirements for the VEKA SPECTRAL surface finish are no exception. "We invested a considerable amount of time and resources into the development before we concluded that the product was indeed ready for market introduction. We stand behind its quality and durability, which is why we provide all customers with an extended ten-year warranty on windows with the VEKA SPECTRAL surface finish," says Milan Klepsa.
