Lecture "BIM Day - Allplan" at the Faculty of Civil Engineering STU in Bratislava

Bratislava, March 2, 2015 - The Faculty of Civil Engineering, in collaboration with the BIM Association of Slovakia and Nemetschek, is organizing a lecture titled "BIM Day - Allplan" on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.
Students can expect a tremendous amount of information that will help them navigate current trends in construction. The opening speech will be given by the Vice-Dean for Education, Assoc. Prof. Ing. Peter Makýš, PhD., who will also clarify why it is important to address the issue of BIM (Building Information Modeling). The topic of BIM will be introduced by Ing. Tomáš Funtík PhD. from the Slovak BIM Association. Students will learn the essence of BIM, its advantages, why it is essential to deal with it, and how BIM is utilized in practice.
Ing. Pavel Vlasák from Nemetschek Allplan Czech Republic s.r.o. will talk to the students about the method and way of working in BIM, specifically with the BIM solution Allplan. He will demonstrate how, thanks to the Allplan BIM system, they can collaborate more effectively and process their projects with a focus on quality, so that they can be utilized in further stages of construction. Finally, the director of the design company Polívka, Hörmann & Partners s.r.o., Mr. Ing. Stanislav Polívka, will share his practical experiences using the Allplan system and showcase real projects.
