Czech architecture is starting to bask in the spotlight of foreign interest. After the "Big Deal" project from CCEA, which showcased Czech architecture in Belgrade and the activities of the Czech Centre in Bucharest, foreign architectural institutions are beginning to seek out Czech architecture themselves. On the night of February 26 to 27, the Brno architect Zdeněk Fránek participated in the Viennese Pecha Kucha. This marked a Czech first within the framework of Viennese Pecha Kuchas. Zdeněk Fránek presented the works of his studio to the audience at the MuseumsQuartier. Fránek handed the symbolic baton to the Prague FAM architects, who will take the stage at the Architekturloge organized by Jan Tabor on March 7. The venue will be the studio of Pichler and Traupmann (www.pxt.at). Tabor's activity previously brought the first foreign Architekturloge to Brno and many Czech studios to Vienna (among others, HŠH architects and Kuba-Pilař architects). It is encouraging that, in addition to the massive import of foreign architects to the Czech Republic, there is also an opposite trend. Will some state-supported institutions prepare exhibitions that we could start exporting to the world?
