Prague - The Prague City Hall will have energy audits of its buildings carried out. The supplier will also prepare energy performance certificates for the buildings. The city is now looking for a company to conduct the audits. This follows from a document published in the public procurement bulletin.
The energy audits will help the city make more efficient use of financial resources for the renovation and maintenance of buildings. "This includes, for example, reducing the energy intensity of buildings through insulation, replacing heat sources, and similar measures, which are typically the subject of the energy audit that recommends the most suitable solutions for energy management within a specific property," said city hall spokesman Tadeáš Provazník.
The costs for the audit and certificates are expected to be around 10.65 million crowns excluding VAT. However, the exact amount will depend on the outcome of the tender. Interested parties can submit their offers to the city until September 26.
The law mandates that the city have updated energy audits and certificates. Since 2009, energy performance certificates have been mandatory for all newly constructed buildings and for the renovation of larger buildings. The requirement was later extended to all family, residential, and administrative buildings during major renovations, sales, or rentals. Since the beginning of 2016, certificates must also be submitted when renting apartments and offices.
