Prague - The Directorate of Roads and Highways (ŘSD) has increased the monthly fee for the representative in charge of the construction of the D11 motorway and the R35 expressway, Ivo Toman, to 198,000 crowns, the Ekonom.cz website reported today. At the beginning of the year, it was 165,000 CZK, a year ago it was 125,000 crowns, and even so, Toman has been the best-paid representative from the very beginning, the site writes. In April, the government reduced the number of government representatives for motorways from five to two. Toman and František Kopecký for routes I/11 and I/57 remained in office. The former Pardubice governor for ODS, Toman, justifies the increase in his gross income by stating that he became a VAT payer this year. Therefore, there has also been a corresponding increase in the invoiced amount. His base income reportedly remains unchanged at 85,000 crowns per month. He also has another 40,000 for covering other expenses related to the performance of his duties and 40,000 to secure expert consultancy, Týden.cz reported. The D11 motorway currently ends three kilometers before Hradec Králové. Its completion has been delayed for 16 years due to a dispute over land owned by farmer Ludmila Havránková and, more recently, her sister Jaroslava Štrosová. On May 24, the government decided to expropriate the land from both sisters. On Monday, June 7, it then suspended its decision for two weeks, giving another chance for an agreement. From Hradec, the D11 should continue for about another 70 kilometers to the border with Poland.
