The web portal “Arch-pavouk” was published on March 27, 2013 (approximately at 8:50 AM), the day when Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, one of the most significant architects of the 20th century, was born. This website maps the ideological relationship between teachers and students at architecture schools, not only in Czechia but also in other European countries affected by this issue. In the first phase, architects active in the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century are more or less processed. However, the spider should eventually reach the 21st century.
The whole idea arose from discussions with Petr Rezek, and subsequently, a series of lectures took place in 2005-06 at the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Liberec. Now this project, which continues to develop and will be further developed, is finally presented to a wider professional and lay audience. More information regarding the creation and study of the spider can be found directly on the website, processed by Patrik Líbal and Jiří Žid. And in conclusion, even the great Mies was consumed by the spider.
