Danekovice - The former Buchtův kopec sanatorium in Žďársko is wanted to be purchased by a company from Brno. The region has been trying to sell the pavilions and land covering a total of 19 hectares for five years, gradually lowering the price. Most recently, the former sanatorium was offered for 18 million crowns. The current tenant offered 20.1 million crowns and has already paid a deposit. This was stated today in a press release by Deputy Governor Martin Kukla.

The region received a deposit of 300,000 crowns. The interested party will lose it if the purchase does not take place. The regional council has already discussed the offer, and the regional representatives will address the sale of the premises at a meeting next Tuesday. If approved, the properties at Buchtův kopec will change owners only after the full purchase price is paid and the change is registered in the land registry, the region stated.

Most recently, the property in the protected area of Žďárské vrchy was sought after by the company B.R.A. Technology, which promised to pay 18.15 million crowns. The purchase agreement was concluded in February this year. However, the company did not send the funds even after extending the payment deadline to the end of June, and the paid deposit of 300,000 crowns was forfeited. The region then repeated the offer under the same conditions. The method of further use of the former sanatorium was not included among the mandatory conditions for sale this time either.

The sanatorium at Buchtův kopec, at an altitude of 720 meters, was completed in 1947 and initially served for the treatment of tuberculosis. Most recently, it was a sanatorium for long-term ill patients, operated by the regional hospital in Nové Město na Moravě. According to previous data from the region, the sanatorium was operating at a loss and was closed at the end of 2011. The care for the empty sanatorium costs the region about 1.1 million crowns a year.
