Prague - The company Pramerica will undertake the reconstruction of the former Koospol building on Evropská Street in Prague. By the end of the reconstruction in 2011, the building is expected to offer 20,000 square meters of office space. Pramerica will invest approximately three million euros, or about 75 million crowns, in the renovation of this building from the mid-1970s. The company announced this today.
"The reason for the complete reconstruction and the associated name change to Cube is the modernization of the originally single-purpose building into a flexible multi-purpose administrative center to meet even the most demanding clientele," stated Gilles Oulevey, marketing director of the company IMPACT-CORTI, which is involved in the transformation of the building.
Currently, the building's owner has signed lease agreements with, for example, the BBC fitness chain and the television company HETV. At the same time, negotiations are underway with current tenants to extend their long-term contracts.
Pramerica is a real estate branch of the American financial and insurance company Prudential Financial Corporation. It has owned the former Koospol building since 2005. Before that, it was the headquarters of the Czech branch of Citibank for 15 years.
