Project Guggenheim Guadalajara is still alive

The idea of the latest project by the Guggenheim organization, Guggenheim Guadalajara in Mexico by Enrique Norten of Ten Arquitectos, is still alive. It has been a year since the announcement of the competition results filled with famous names. Only now are the financial sources beginning to clarify. Mexican President Vicente Fox has promised that the state will cover half of the construction costs for the museum. The other half will have to be secured by Guggenheim. However, a few months ago, Guggenheim decided to halt the construction of additional museums, even though there are more than enough interesting projects on their desk.
