FILIP ŠLAPAL: BAUHAUS

The exhibition of photographs by the renowned Czech architectural photographer Filip Šlapal will commemorate the centenary of the founding of the famous artistic school Bauhaus (1919–1933). Part of the installation will also include unique films showcasing the buildings and personalities of Bauhaus, the cult ballet scenography of Oskar Schlemmer, documentaries about New Frankfurt and the so-called Frankfurt kitchen, a documentary featuring interviews with Bauhaus graduates, or about the Tugendhat villa in Brno, etc. As part of the accompanying program, there will be lectures and moderated discussions with historians of architecture, art, and design, as well as aestheticians.
