The city of Plzeň, through the Department of Concept and Development of the City of Plzeň, announces a public one-round urban planning and architectural competition for the design of the Emila Škoda Square. The competition was approved by the Plzeň council on Thursday and is officially announced today (June 13). The deadline for submitting competition proposals is set for mid-August. This competition will be followed by a small-scale public procurement task. This should develop the winning competition proposal and primarily establish regulatory conditions for new construction and the design of public space in the area. The value of the subsequent contract will not exceed CZK 500,000 excluding VAT.

The area in question, which is rectangular in shape, is bounded by Husova Street, the existing development contiguous to Husovo Square, the building of the former general management of Škodovka on Tylova Street, and the intersection of Tylova Street with Skvrňanská. All plots in the area are owned by the city.
