On Tuesday, June 22, 2016, at 7:00 PM, a ceremonial announcement of the winners of Ještěd F in the cage will take place at Karel Hubáček's studio (FUA TUL, Husova 75, Liberec), where the work of Liberec students from the Faculty of Art and Architecture will be assessed by a jury of independent experts from outside TUL's home ground. In the JFK 16 jury, Professor Emil Přikryl, a member of the SIAL nursery and subsequently of the Liberec Stavoprojekt, where he worked under Karel Hubáček until 1990, will sit. He was awarded the ČKA Honor for lifetime achievement. Currently, he leads the School of Architecture at the Prague AVU, which was attended in 2005 by another jury member Jan Žalský, head of the Žalský architect studio and drummer in the band Ing. Puding. The graduates of FUA will be represented by artist Aleš Novák, who also studied sculpture at VŠUP. The theoretical part will be represented by art historian and co-founder of the Center for Central European Architecture Markéta Žáčková from FF MU. Lastly, representing the generation of the youngest successful architects will be Jáchym Svoboda, co-founder of the BOD architekti studio, who is collecting one victory in competitions after another.
