Ještěd, a significant building from 1973 by architect Karel Hubáček, and the mysterious riddle from the books of Jaroslav Foglar together form the name of a traditional student competition at the Faculty of Architecture and Art TUL. The subject of evaluation is the semester projects of students from all studios. An invited, independent jury of five personalities from the field of architecture and art will select five works in one day, of which the best will receive the main award Ještěd in a cage.
We invite you to a festive evening with the announcement, which will take place on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at 7 p.m. in the faculty studio of Karel Hubáček in Liberec.
The jury will consist of architect Ladislav Kuba from the Brno studio Kuba & Pilař architects, architect Pavla Melková from the Prague architectural office MCA, theorist and curator Šárka Svobodová from the Brno civic association 4AM Forum for Architecture and Media, artist Jan Nálevka, and the participation of Brno artist and illustrator Jan Šrámek is still under discussion.
