Admonter student contest - autumn 2013

This year's edition again invites young students to gain a prestigious award from the Austrian company STIA Holzindustrie - a manufacturer of premium wooden floors and bioboards ADMONTER, and also to enjoy a trip to the Austrian Alps. Last year was focused on interior furnishing design using large panels. This year will focus on the product CUBE, which is primarily intended as a design cladding for interior walls. But what could be its other uses, where, or what interesting things could it be combined with? A rocking chair, or a bar?? ... What will you propose?
 
Basic information about the competition:
October 14, 2013 - announcement of the start of the competition
November 15, 2013 - last day to submit designs for the competition

Assignment:
Design interior furnishing from the CUBE product!

Format:
The design in A3 portrait format must include a drawing or a 3D design with a description of the materials used.
It must also include dimensions and contact details of the author. Maximum file size is 15MB.

Grand prize:
1st place:
3-day trip for two to the Alpine town of ADMONT, visit to the production facility and Benedictine monastery.
The second day includes all-day skiing in the SKIAREÁL SCHLADMING!
The trip includes 2 nights in a ****hotel with breakfast, transportation from the Czech Republic, admission to the areas for two people.
The event is organized with a Czech guide and translator and will take place in the 49th week of 2013.

Evaluation:
A commission composed of experts and the management of the company Admonter will evaluate: originality, execution of the design, practical use in reality, and idea.
