Markéta Svobodová: Ženský element a Bauhaus

The lecture will be dedicated to women who influenced the operation of the Bauhaus – who actively participated in the selection of educators or in shaping the educational systems themselves, such as Alma Mahler, Gertrude Grunow, or who ensured the promotion of the school (photographer Lucia Moholy). In the second part, the speaker will focus on successful graduates of the school (Gunta Stölzl, Otti Berger, etc.) and female students who came to the Bauhaus from former Czechoslovakia. Last but not least, women involved in promoting this school or its products in Czechoslovakia will also be presented.
