This is a solution for the so-called one-room apartment in "existing" older buildings and in outdated new constructions of typical apartment houses. In an apartment with a room and a kitchen, the kitchen is dedicated to cooking, household chores, and (if there are no servants) also eating. The room, whose image we present, is a living space and at night a bedroom. This set is well-suited for childless young people, both engaged in work and mostly eating outside the home. In this case, a kitchen is not necessary, and a small metal cabinet with essential cookware and a cooker, placed in the bathroom or living room, preferably portable, will suffice. When later expanding the household, the furniture set can be supplemented for up to 4 people simultaneously with the addition of a kitchen.
By specifying the number and types of furniture and arranging it to a substantial minimum, a guideline is provided according to which it would be possible to use the rooms of today's and older houses for accommodating the working classes. By creating these small apartments for couples of the employed population, transforming today's urban restaurants into popular collective dining halls with a new system of service and meal preparation, and supplementing the network of dining halls, baths, laundries, maintenance services for laundry and clothing, and children's homes, we will obtain a housing and life service system suitable for the initial transitional period of a new society, utilizing today's houses and cities in the most quickly achievable practical manner. The small apartment set includes:

1. Sleeping sofas of type A and corner type B. The height of the sofas is suitable for the height of a table, allowing for seating while working or eating. The bedding set (coverlets and sheets) is stored under the sofa on a pull-out board, protected by fabric that does not let dust through. Pillows for the head are stored during the day in pillow cases secured with metal straps.
2. A wardrobe that has compartments for hats, shoes, personal laundry, and small items of clothing, with mirrors on the inside of the doors, thus serving as a toilet cabinet. The wardrobe also has two types, a three-part type A and a supplementary two-part type B.
3. A linen cabinet (long), for various items, books, with two locked compartments for writing materials, letters, and personal documents. The glazed part for books and other compartments is accessible from both sides.
4. A table.
5. Chairs with adjustable seating and backrest angles, allowing for comfortable sitting whether eating, working, or resting.
6. A floor lamp that replaces a nightstand at night.
