When the rules of the game change, it is always something big. Surprise investors and offer them a smart home without increasing the budget, with minimal construction preparation and without the need for extensive support from specialists. How is this possible?

The term "Game changer" says it all

The company ABB has launched a completely new concept of electrical installation solutions that is attractive to investors and thus also to design and architectural studios. Even now, OneTouch is becoming a true "game changer" in development projects. It can be said that the biggest obstacles to designing smart electrical installations in standard projects for your customers were the costs stemming from the need for extra cabling, special devices, and specialists for design and deployment, as well as the necessary additional space in distribution boards. All of this is a thing of the past. Just one data cable from the distribution board to the entrance gate, and another data cable from the distribution board to the installation location of the inner station. Done. No extra space in the distribution board is needed either.

Smart solution at a touch and independent of WiFi

The new ABB concept is based on a simple all-in-one solution. Include in the project the multifunctional control OneTouch 7" touch panel, to which the next-generation ABB-free@home® flex switches with wireless communication module can be connected. This easily transforms the traditional electrical installation in the project into a smart one. Moreover, OneTouch also works as a home video phone (including displaying the ringing visitor on the user's mobile phone). All elements of the electrical installation operate independently of the home WiFi, so customers don’t have to worry about losing control when connectivity issues arise. Yes, it is still a standard electrical installation that is compatible and aesthetically aligned with switches and sockets in 10 design series from ABB, including the latest design series Zoni®, noted for its flat design, matte colors, and pleasant surface. Furthermore, customers will gain significantly higher comfort (control) and safety (video phone, protection of outdoor blinds) while saving energy and cooling the house.

The strength of the electrical installation solution with the OneTouch panel and smart switches lies in the simplicity of installation and operation, as well as in the price. And the switch is still a switch in the installation.

The switch is still just a switch at a touch, but it also knows Bluetooth

When it comes to smart solutions, connecting the entire electrical installation to a mobile phone via apps for both iOS and Android and controlling it from anywhere in the world is a given. Controlling blinds, shades, or lights via mobile is now standard.
Everything in the project can start with one smart control element because your customer today wants to control only the lights or shading technology. With ABB-free@home® flex controllers, you can offer your customers to extend the functions of the smart home anytime, without the need for complicated interventions in the electrical installation. It’s easy. Just replace the device under the design cover. In the future, customers can add heating control, access or garage door control, roof windows (Velux), smart appliances (Miele, Samsung Smart Things, Apple Home Kit), water supply valve control, etc. There is no easier way to gradually expand and connect everything.

Smart switches have the same design as standard switches and sockets. Furthermore, they can control lighting from a mobile phone and an app via Bluetooth. Photo: Zoni®, black matte.

The construction of family homes continues to face stricter standards for heating and building envelopes. Low-energy houses are wonderful in how little energy they consume, but they heat up quickly in the summer if shading is not handled well. Meet these demands with a simple solution – automated shading technology with the One-Touch 7" panel, which offers you truly simple implementation of smart electrical installations into your projects.

What does such a solution cost?

The basic solution for 1 house = 4x blinds + 1x home video phone
Optional enhancements (not mandatory, but everyone has different needs):
+ departure button (wakes/sleeps the whole house)
+ entrance door opener control
+ control of socket circuits from the distribution board
+ control of the water supply valve from the mains
+ weather station

For the basic price of just 38,000 CZK excluding VAT (46,000 with VAT) in the latest design series of switches and sockets Zoni® in exclusive matte black (produced in Jablonec nad Nisou).

The OneTouch 7" panel communicates completely in Czech. It is available in black and white versions of tempered glass.

Why should your customers consider smart electrical installations as a standard?

  1. Someone rings the doorbell – I can communicate with them even when I'm not home. I can open the gate, entrance door or garage door (optionally). I can deter "tipsters" because it looks like I am home… If I don’t have keys, I can open with my mobile. I can also do all this via the OneTouch 7" panel in the living room.
  2. I can control the blinds – centrally, set my own scheduling and ASTRO, even remotely via the app. Or I can control them directly on-site using switches and the control panel. I monitor the temperature in the central room – I can automate the operation of the blinds when the ambient temperature rises in the summer (or working together with the optional weather station).
  3. I monitor the temperature in the living room. I can control the heating source (optionally) = e.g. gas boiler and thus manage the temperature throughout the house, both directly on the panel and from anywhere in the world via the app on my mobile.
  4. We leave for vacation, but we haven't turned off the water supply. We all know it, right? Then we spend the whole vacation stressed out whether the washer or the faucet hose will burst. Luckily, I won’t have to deal with this anymore because I can remotely turn off the water with the push of a button. You can use a valve from the Czech manufacturer PEVEKO (e.g. SKPU-E | Ball valve with electric drive, 10 bar, NC, PTFE).
  5. The weather station monitors the maximum values of measured quantities and sends a signal to the system when exceeded, which then reacts, for example, by pulling down the blinds.
  6. I turned off the kettle in the kitchen, or not? Well, I don't have to go back – I can manage it by remotely turning off the socket circuits via the mobile app.
  7. The departure button saves me time. It reliably puts the house to sleep (calls the pre-set state for devices) and I can leave for work in the morning with a clear conscience.
  8. Everything is simple and intuitive even for guests – I don’t have to create a manual for them to operate it. The up and down arrows on the switch simply mean controlling the blinds. The appearance of the control buttons is exactly the same as we have all been used to for many years.
  9. I can choose wall controllers from up to 9 different design series to ensure everything matches with the sockets and looks nice overall. Sockets and switches in multiple frames can be freely combined.
  10. Optionally, I can add hot water boiler control – remotely and locally I can control the contactor for the boiler and save on energy costs. By controlling the contactor and potentially dangerous socket circuits or anything else, you ensure the protection of your property from potential damages.

There is so much more you can utilize. Control LED color strips Philips HUE to set the atmosphere, connect the system with ABB Wallbox for charging electric cars, control the entire home with voice commands via Alexa, and now also communicate via the new communication standard Matter.
