Lindab, s.r.o.

In the unique environment of the Šumava National Park, Lindab has completed the reconstruction of the roof of a cottage built at the beginning of the last century. By utilizing the modern roofing system Lindab SolarRoof 2.0, which combines the elegance of the SRP Click covering in Scandinavian style with discreet solar panels, it has achieved an energy-efficient and functional solution that respects the original appearance and purpose of the building.

"The reconstruction of the roof of the Šumava cottage is a good example of the wide range of possibilities offered by Lindab SolarRoof 2.0. Our solution can sensitively adapt to the individual character of historical buildings while also helping with their energy independence,” explains Petr Matoušek, product manager of Lindab Solar Roof.

For the reconstruction of the cottage in Šumava, 222 m² of covering Lindab SRP Click was used along with a soundproofing layer Sound Control in Elite surface finish in slate gray. The roof was complemented by a deep gutter system Rainline 150H in the same color and snow guards from the Lindab Safety series. Ten solar panels Lindab SolarRoof 2.0 with a power output of 2.040 kWp were installed on the roof covering.

Lindab SolarRoof 2.0 is the result of Swedish engineering know-how and Scandinavian design. The Lindab roof thus relies on experience with the Nordic climate, which provides long-term protection against weather influences for the house.

A new type of solar panel with unique properties

The Lindab SolarRoof 2.0 consists of popular roofing profiles that are equipped with a new type of solar panel with impressive properties. The panel is less than 3 mm thick, flexible, and easily adapts to the surface. It comes in a matte finish. Due to its flexible properties, it is suitable for both family houses and larger buildings. The solar panels are manufactured in Europe and, unlike standard solar panels that weigh 20 to 30 kg per m², boast a weight of only 2.5 kg per m².

"Lindab solar panels are attached using specially developed adhesive strips. Their fixation does not compromise the waterproofing layer and does not catch the wind like conventional solar panels," adds Petr Matoušek, noting that the product warranty is 10 years and the performance warranty is at least 85% of peak performance for up to 25 years.
