Come and enjoy the atmosphere of wood and nature and gather inspiration. From April 18 to May 22, an exhibition of wooden architecture will take place at the National Theatre's piazza, which is part of the nineteenth edition of the Timber Buildings Salon, a festival and selective showcase of contemporary wooden architecture in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. There will also be a relaxation zone, allowing visitors to experience the atmosphere of a Czech forest right in the city.
Are you interested in architecture and sustainable construction? Are you planning to build and want to learn more about current trends and new technologies? Then be sure to visit the National Theatre's piazza, where the Day of Wooden Architecture will take place on April 18, featuring a number of interesting lectures and meetings with architects and industry experts, and where the exhibition of the 19th Timber Buildings Salon will also be inaugurated.
The exhibition will showcase more than thirty of the most significant wooden buildings that have recently been created in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, displayed on an attractive wooden installation that will enhance the public space of the square and offer passersby a relaxation zone with seating inside a wooden structure reminiscent of a Czech forest. This year, the design of the installation is being handled by architects from the Prodesi / Domesi studio together with landscape architects from the Partero studio. Their joint initial effort was to suitably complement the square and thus enhance its quality for people. The main inspiration for them was the motif of the circle, which has deep symbolism and will be adorned with greenery.
