DEK offers seminars on project trends for the year 2019

Are you interested in efficient and modern building design? In just a few days, specialized seminars by technical experts from Atelier DEK focused on trends in structural, material, and technological solutions will begin. They will take place from January 22 to February 8 in twelve cities across the Czech Republic.

The seminars are intended for the broadest technical public, primarily for designers, and will be held every Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Ostrava, Olomouc, Prague, Liberec, Hradec Králové, České Budějovice, Plzeň, Karlovy Vary, Ústí nad Labem, Jihlava, Brno, and Zlín."We will discuss the causes of selected construction defects and learn to work with a public database of products and standardized construction types for building construction. Additionally, we will introduce the use of tools for evaluating buildings and structures at various stages of preparation and for price comparison of material variants of solutions," said DEK's technical director Luboš Káně.

The program will also include the use of the aforementioned tools in BIM design, which creates and manages data about the building throughout its entire life cycle - from design, implementation, operation, reconstruction - to decommissioning and demolition. The seminar program varies according to the specific location. For example, in Ostrava, a case study on the impact of entertainment pyrotechnics and the subsequent fire on the roof of a senior citizens' home will be presented. In Plzeň, among other things, the construction and composition of a modern passive family house will be on the program. Atelier DEK organizes the seminars in collaboration with DEKPROJEKT, DEKMETAL, and ÚRS CZ.

Participants with smartphones will be able to engage in interactive discussions and surveys during the seminar. Participants accredited under the ČKAIT program (Czech Chamber of Authorized Engineers and Technicians Active in Construction) will also earn points for their participation.
