Veronika Vicherková – Ecology in Architecture of the 1980s

The social movement advocating ecological interests, which developed since the 1960s in all Western countries, also impacted the work of architects in socialist Czechoslovakia. The lecture will recall historical contexts and present selected, now historical "ecologically aware" projects.

The 11th year of the open lecture series "Monuments" is organized by the Institute for the Preservation of Monuments and the Institute of Theory and History of Architecture, FA CTU in collaboration with the Czech National Committee of ICOMOS, led by Prof. Václav Girsa.
