Petr Šmídek/ Contemporary Danish Architecture

The quality of architectural creation merely reflects the state of society. It is not coincidental that Scandinavian countries are often cited as examples of socially supportive policies and sustainable economies, where architecture is an understated and integral part of everyday pleasant life. The giant offices BIG and JDS have already brought sufficient fame to Danish architecture, but there are numerous studios like COBE, TRANSFORM, NORD, ADEPT, EFFEKT, SLETH, WE, or JAJA, whose work deserves no less attention. Insights into contemporary Scandinavian architecture will be provided by MgA. Petr Šmídek from his journey through the Kingdom of Denmark.
