Světlá nad Sázavou – In Světlá nad Sázavou in the Havlíčkobrod region, the construction of a new road bridge over the Sázava River could begin this autumn. After today's meeting of the regional council, Governor Martin Kukla (ANO) told reporters. This is a construction project with an estimated cost of nearly 155 million crowns including value-added tax. The Světlá town hall has long been striving for the construction of the bridge, as it will allow part of the traffic to be diverted from the center.
Regional councilors discussed the agreement on joint procedures with the city for the tender today. "The plan is to announce a public contract by summer," said the governor. Main work will be carried out during the construction seasons of 2027 and 2028.
The bridge will connect Zámecká and Nádražní streets, transferring a class two road over the river. For cars traveling through the town towards Habry from Humpolec and Havlíčkův Brod, this will shorten the journey and bypass the square. Currently, both passenger and freight vehicles travel through the repaired center in this direction.
In addition to the construction of the bridge, the region will ensure the relocation of engineering networks and the necessary demolitions. The town of Světlá nad Sázavou will address the reconstruction of sidewalks, public lighting, and related construction objects. This was stated by the Deputy Governor for Transport Vladimír Novotný (SOCDEM) on the regional website.
Světlá nad Sázavou has a population of 6,400. The revitalization of Trček's Square from Lípa, costing nearly 90 million crowns, was completed by the local town hall in 2023.
