Prague - Information about planned construction projects in Prague is now on one website. The website Prague Tomorrow? features a total of 184 projects including buildings, bridges, public spaces, and entire districts. Some are in the idea or intention phase, while others are under construction. The launch of the website was announced today by the press spokesperson of the Institute of Planning and Development of Prague, Marek Vácha.
People can search for buildings on the website by location on the map, name, project phase, or city district. Each project includes basic information about the location, investor, architect, investment amount, and expected construction date. Planned constructions are accompanied by visualizations.
"I hope that the projects will attract more visitors interested in the city's development to our Center for Architecture and Urban Planning," said the director of the Institute of Planning and Development of Prague, Ondřej Boháč. All the projects that are currently available online were presented at exhibitions in the Center for Architecture and Urban Planning.
The exhibitions Prague Tomorrow? were the first step towards creating a database of construction intentions ranging from small constructions, through the reconstruction of squares and streets, to large development areas.
