Prague - The Prague 8 district has begun construction of a social services home. It will be located on S. K. Neumann Street in Libeň, and its construction is expected to take 20 months. The building will cost approximately 108 million crowns. This was announced today by Prague 8 spokesperson Helena Šmídová. The home will provide short-term accommodation for 21 people who need round-the-clock care. It will also offer a long-term accommodation service for 30 individuals diagnosed with dementia. The total capacity will be 51 beds. "Currently, surface finishing and site works are ongoing. These also involve the adjacent park, which will have barrier-free access to the building, a requirement for the issuance of the building permit," the spokesperson stated. Simultaneously, during the construction, the district will renovate the neighboring park, where new trees will be planted.
