Třebíz (Kladensko) - The state has transferred the cultural monument Šubrt's Farm into the ownership of the town of Slaný in Kladensko, which is part of the open-air museum at the Ethnographic Museum in Třebíz. The town, which operates the museum, will thus be able to take better care of the historic building. Today, Jana Rennerová from the Office for State Representation in Property Matters informed ČTK about the transfer.

Šubrt's Farm is an immovable cultural monument that serves as a depository for the collection fund and technical support of the ethnographic museum. Together with other buildings, it forms the core of the village of Třebíz, which was declared a monument reservation in 1995.
The mayor of Slaný, Ivo Rubík (ODS), welcomed the gratuitous transfer into the ownership of the town. "We have been striving for this for a long time because maintenance and reconstruction could not be done there," he told ČTK.
In addition to Šubrt's Farm, the open-air museum also includes other buildings owned by the village of Třebíz and, in one case, a private individual. Slaný rents these buildings.
The Ethnographic Museum in Třebíz was opened in 1975 as part of the Regional Museum in Slaný. The characteristic Czech village square of a small agricultural community located on the border between Central and Northern Bohemia remained intact because the Leipzig road, built in the mid-18th century and now the I/7 road, bypassed the center of the village. This preserved its original settlement situation. In addition to several original buildings, the open-air museum also features a small pond with a ford, and nearby stands a simple Baroque structure of St. Martin's church built in 1754.
