Design without compromises: a detail that changes the way doors are opened

The functionality of the innovative M&T Magnetic system is exclusively based on the use of magnetic force. "We have incorporated a block of very strong magnets into the door frame, and then their counterpart made of magnetic stainless steel into the door. When both parts are brought close together, the magnetic force smoothly and almost silently pulls the door closed, without the magnets touching each other. Therefore, a traditional handle is not required to open the door," explains Roman Ulich, the chief designer of M&T and the designer of the M&T Magnetic system. Everything works quietly, without contact, with the possibility of simple adjustment of the door control strength.

The patented M&T Magnetic system is complemented by innovative grip handles with sophisticated ergonomics, designed for comfortable door operation. For maximum individuality of the interior, all handles are available in various surface finishes, and for selected models, the inner control space can be filled with a visible magnetic panel. This detail allows for perfect harmony or, on the contrary, an impressive contrast with the surface of the door leaf.

Exceptional variability is offered by the YES! handle, available in twelve surfaces, five lengths from 110 mm to 910 mm, and three grip variants – without a hole, or with holes for control by two fingers or the whole hand. As for its placement on the doors, the imagination has almost no limits. It can be vertical or horizontal, at the bottom, top, or in the middle. "The YES! handle is also prepared for all variants of doors – swinging and sliding, wooden and glass, and it can even be used on doors that require locking. The handle can be equipped with a discreet integrated locking segment," adds Roman Ulich from the family manufactory M&T.

Due to its uniqueness, M&T Magnetic received the international double reddot award, along with the YES! and Konzerva 220 handles.
