Book Launch CZECH HOUSES

On Friday, November 7, 2014, the Faculty of Architecture hosted the launch of the book CZECH HOUSES - ČESKÉ DOMY by Karel Kerlický from the KANT publishing house, which documents the creation of family houses in the Czech Republic over the past 25 years. Authors Ján Stempel, Jan Jakub Tesař, and Ondřej Beneš continue with this title following their successful book 99 HOMES, which has already disappeared from the shelves. During the launch, 11 owners of the published houses spoke. The non-traditional and original presentation of architecture created a pleasant atmosphere for the evening, which was thus characterized by an understanding between the authors' creative work and the needs of the owners and users of the buildings. All owners' presentations were connected by pleasant memories of the creative process of designing the house and its realization. The opening words were given by Prof. Ladislav Lábus - Dean of the FA ČVUT, and the book's godfather was Prof. Miroslav Masák. The evening was hosted, as always, by the excellent Adam Gebrian.
