The Pardubice Region has started the construction of an ambulance deployment base in Česká Třebová

Česká Třebová – The Pardubice region has commenced the construction of a deployment base for the Medical Emergency Service in Česká Třebová. It will be located at the entrance to the city along road I/14 from Svitavy. In addition to facilities for emergency crews, it will also include storage for medical supplies and tires for emergency vehicles, the regional government stated in a press release. Currently, there is no emergency base in the fourth most populous city in the region.

The new base will help better cover the area of Česká Třebová and its surroundings, which includes the eastern part around Rybník, Třebovice, and Semanín. The area also has the Peklák sports complex, where potential injuries should be taken into account. The station will also relieve other bases, such as in Ústí nad Orlicí, Lanškroun, or Svitavy.

The new facility will offer amenities that exceed the typical operation of deployment bases. As the only one in the Pardubice region, it will have garage space for a specialized vehicle designated for deployment during emergencies involving mass casualties. It will also include garages for ambulances, storage for medical supplies and medications, operational rooms, and facilities for medical emergency teams.

The location along road I/14 on the outskirts of the city near the roundabout towards road I/43 will also allow for quick access to the D35 highway. The region is investing 89.6 million crowns, including VAT, in the construction. The base is expected to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2027, or possibly in the first quarter of 2028.

Once operational, the station in Česká Třebová will become the 19th deployment base for the emergency service in the region. Recently, the Pardubice region has opened new deployment bases in Litomyšl and Svitavy. Locations are always chosen with good connectivity to the road network. There are currently 18 emergency service deployment bases distributed throughout the Pardubice region. In the future, there may be an additional base on the right bank of the Elbe River in Pardubice, as the region is currently searching for a suitable plot of land.
