Brno - The Chinaski band will perform a charity concert on June 2 at the Tugendhat villa in Brno, a monument listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The proceeds will be donated by the Kolečko Foundation to the Children's Hospital in Brno for the purchase of trauma equipment, such as adjustable cribs. The organizers hope that the concert will raise 50,000 Czech crowns. Martina Šmídtová from the Museum of the City of Brno, which cares for the functionalist villa, informed ČTK today. The Kolečko Foundation primarily focuses on providing direct financial support to eight children's trauma centers in the Czech Republic. It has already distributed money, medical devices, medical aids, and equipment worth more than eight million crowns among them. The second pillar of their activity is preventing child injuries in road traffic. Chinaski will perform an acoustic overview of their repertoire at the villa with the full band. A limited number of 50 tickets priced at one thousand crowns per person is available for presale at the box office of the Tugendhat villa. The choice of this rare monument as the venue for the concert is not accidental. For nearly 25 years, the villa housed a rehabilitation center for children with spine deformities. It is now open to tourists. "We believe that public interest in this unique monument of modern architecture will fill the overall capacity of the concert and thus help a good cause," said Pavel Ciprian, director of the Museum of the City of Brno.
