ZNOJMO - According to the judges of the Grand Prix For Arch Znojmo 2006 competition, the best building in the South Moravian Region is the production plant of H&M in Kuchařovice in Znojmo. This year, 12 companies entered the competition, said Vladislav Rakušan from the organizing team to ČTK today. The winning building can participate in the national round of the competition, which will be announced in September at the main construction fair For Arch in Prague. The plastic window and door production plant in Kuchařovice was built last year by the company Atlanta. H&M relocated its production there from smaller premises. The company invested more than 50 million crowns in the new complex and employs about 60 people there, said the company’s sales director, Petr Dohnal. Honorable mentions will be awarded to Ploma for the prototype wooden building, Firesta Brno for the general renovation of the Vysočanský Bridge in Vranovsko, and the Artistic Blacksmithing Šefčík, which focuses on the application of artistic metal elements in residential construction.
