The largest pyramid in the world is to be built near the German town of Desava

On Sunday, September 2, 2007, the first “Pyramid Festival” took place in the municipality of Streetz near Desava, aimed at supporting the birth of the "Great Pyramid." The structure is expected to become "the largest man-made pyramid of all time" and will be ten times larger than its predecessor from ancient Egypt. It will reach a height of 578 meters and its construction will take thirty years. The website of the "Friends of the Great Pyramid" does not hold back on its modesty. Their pages are divided into the following categories: the largest structure in the world, salvation for the German economy, or a grave for millions of people. Millions of people are expected to visit the construction every year to view the burial site or participate in the mourning ceremony. Various churches and spiritual communities from around the world will move to the surrounding area with a direct view of the pyramid. This will significantly increase employment in the service sector.
Unlike its predecessors, the pyramid will not serve a single pharaoh, but for a fee of 700 Euros, ordinary mortals will also be able to rest within it. The concrete sarcophagi will simultaneously serve as building blocks for the pyramid. In total, this will involve millions of these sarcophagi. The project has already managed to secure 90,000 Euros (2.5 million CZK) from public sources (specifically from the Federal Cultural Foundation). According to the initiators of the pyramid, construction work is set to begin in 2008. However, many local residents are against it, as they would have a gigantic burial site right outside their windows.
Unless it’s a recession, this project seems even more absurd to me than a certain hobby market located in Desava near the namesake famous school of architecture. Link>
