On Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at 5:00 PM in the Graphic Cabinet of the Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlín, an exhibition titled Sacred Architecture for the Baťa Company will be opened. Projects and realizations of sacred buildings designed by architects for the Baťa Company were based on the composition of simple cubic shapes using standard construction modules. Among them was, for example, the design of the Roman Catholic church in Prštné (1935). Projects by Vladimír Karfík were realized in Baťovany-Partizánske, Zlín, and Bratislava. Designs by František Lydie Gahura have also been preserved, along with plans by other significant architects. The exhibition at the 14|15 Baťa Institute in Zlín will last until March 23, 2014.
