The Brno ARCHITECTURE CENTER regularly includes exhibitions in the exhibition program of the Architecture Gallery that focus on housing. After last year's broadly geographical exhibition "Exceptional Houses", this time it will host a traveling exhibition from the Ostrava Center of New Architecture. The JINÉ DOMY 007 project was created with the intention of bringing new quality architecture to light and initiating a debate about the processes, circumstances, and conditions of its 'birthing,' as well as the birth pains that often accompany it. Seven architecture studios from Northern Moravia and Silesia were given the opportunity to confront their experiences and present their work in the field of residential buildings. The goal is not to evaluate but to provide a comparison and insight into the creative process. What are young architects building in this region? How do they live here? What buildings do they design and dream about? Where do they draw their inspiration from? Is Ostrava a blessing or a curse for them? “Join us on a tour of the exhibition and peek behind the scenes of those who seek answers to these questions right here, in the northeastern corner of the Czech Republic.”
