Apartment by the waterfront

The reconstruction of the apartment on the embankment builds on the original qualities, which are spacious rooms with high ceilings, historical craftsmanship elements in the form of panel moldings for doors and windows, views of the opposite embankment with the building of the "golden chapel," and the orientation of the bedrooms towards a quiet courtyard. The original panels were the main inspiration for the concept of detailing the newly designed built-in furniture in all rooms. This furniture features bevels on the vertical and horizontal edges of the bodies. In these subtle, interconnecting frames, panels with surfaces made of oak veneered laminate, golden perforated sheet metal, artificial stone, or upholstery with vibrant velvet fabric are inserted. These details unify all interventions in the apartment into a single conceptual whole. However, each room has a slightly different atmosphere, due to the varying use of materials, furnishings, lighting, fauna, and art. The apartment on the embankment is a place where the old and the new intertwine in calm harmony.
