Tiles for the bathroom, wooden decking for the terrace, wallpaper for the living room? A complicated decision that can be simplified by one traditional material. Ceramic tiles offer creative solutions for the whole home.

Having tiles on the floor and cladding on the wall is entirely common. Try to experiment more according to current trends and tastes, choosing from this year's novelties from RAKO, which offer a great opportunity and space for decoration and to play with the atmosphere using ceramic tiles. You can boldly create magic at home as well as in outdoor spaces. It is clear that tiles are now reliably making their way into living rooms, not just bathrooms.
For the terrace and interior, choose tiles - wood imitation, stone, enjoy the beauty without changes, Trend series (RAKO).

With a passion for materials

The most striking trend influenced by advancements in production technologies is the imitation of materials - primarily wood, natural stone, concrete, or cement surface finishes. They look good even when combined in one room. They are so similar to the originals that only a tap on the surface will reassure you of the substitution. “Digital printing allows for any decor in high resolution to be transferred onto the smooth, even embossed surfaces of tiles and flooring. Authentic are the natural randomness, imperfections, patina, stone cuts, or surface treatments that you encounter with wooden floors – for example, planing, or bleached surfaces,” explains Marek Vráblík, chief designer of the RAKO brand.

(RAKO has amazing Deco!)

Another novelty is the wider use of decoration. There are many options, either with the help of traditional elements (listellos, mosaics...), or a combination of formats, or effectively alternating smooth and textured surfaces. All decorations stand out when combined with waves of neutral grays and earthy tones, which currently prevail. When you decide to tile an entire wall, you hit the trends and add an unusual artistic solitary to the interior. Inspiration for ceramic “wallpaper” can be found in modern series from RAKO (series Stones, Cemento, Triangle, Deco...).
Series can connect a complete interior appropriately due to its neutral appearance, Cemento series.

Deco series (RAKO) is suitable for both walls and floors.
A real hit this season is patchwork. Assembled pieces of colorful patterns are not only found on textile throws. Geometric and floral decors adorned the floors of old patios, later on staircases and hallways of pre-war apartment buildings. The RAKO brand has fantastic Deco – a series that delights with its palette of colors and patterns. “We discovered interesting original and decades-old patterns in the RAKO archive, and some made it into the final selection. Certain imperfections and wear are therefore intentional on the products,” explains Herbert Kraus, commercial director of the RAKO brand.

Traditional charm for modern elegance

Domestic and foreign creators of new collections have looked back into history, searching for elements in urban architecture or in the style of world metropolises. At international fairs, it is immediately clear that besides imitations, retro style remains popular.

Dress your bathroom in the RAKO 1883 series, inspired by the tiles from the Tugendhat villa.

The Czech brand RAKO has introduced a novelty “RAKO 1883”, which commemorates an important corporate date, while it loosely ties back to the tiles used in the 1920s in the unique Tugendhat villa in Brno. If you dream of an elegant, pleasantly nostalgic atmosphere from the early 20th century, are renovating an older house, or admire fashionable retro, you have in your hands the ideal stylish series. The 20 x 40 tiles have a well-replicated slightly cracked glaze. In the collection, whose attractiveness is enhanced by the beveled edges of the tiles – so-called envelope shapes, you will also discover a delicate all-over floral decor. To the rediscovered colors – deep glossy red and noble beige, the matte, seemingly worn rustic surface of the Siena tiles harmonizes. More about new products at www.rako.cz
