The goal of investor Tomáš Davídek was to build a modern accommodation, sports and relaxation, and conference complex with a high-quality offering of a wide range of services for visitors, residents, and organizations not only in the Trutnov region. Thanks to good cooperation with the construction company BAK stavební společnost, a.s. Trutnov (hereinafter referred to as BAK), which used Ceresit insulating materials, mortars, and grouting compounds in the rooms and wellness area, this was successfully achieved after a year and a half of construction to the full satisfaction of the investor and his guests.

The construction of the hotel took place from July 2011 to January 2013, when the sports center was opened, followed a month later by the hotel and restaurant starting operations. The hotel is located not far from the historic center of the town of Trutnov. The combination of modern accommodation of the highest standard, extensive conference facilities, and a wide range of sports and wellness activities makes hotel Davídek an ideal place for accommodation or organizing conferences in the Trutnov region. The hotel, rated four stars (First Class ****), offers 53 permanent beds, with a total capacity including extra beds being 81 beds. Guests have access to 2 two to four-bed apartments, 24 double rooms, and 1 single room. All rooms feature original architectural solutions, modern design, practical layout, comfortable furnishings, and ample space. In the congress area of the hotel, equipped with modern technology, there is a conference hall with a capacity of up to 100 seats, with the possibility of variable division, and a meeting room with a capacity of 20 seats. The gastronomic part also offers a rich selection, including a lobby bar, a restaurant with a capacity of 60 seats and an outdoor garden, a sports bar with 40 seats and an outdoor terrace for 80 people overlooking the tennis courts. There is an indoor and outdoor children's corner waiting for kids. The sports center combines outdoor and indoor sports activities, providing year-round recreation. It includes two outdoor tennis courts, covered in winter with an inflatable dome, a multi-purpose playground, and two squash courts with a sliding partition wall, allowing for space for activities like yoga, zumba, and aerobics. There are also ski storage, bike storage, and a shop and rental service for sports equipment. The pride of the new Trutnov hotel is the relaxation area with a wellness center, where guests can enjoy a Finnish sauna, infrared cabin, fountain, and outdoor cooling tank, relaxation room, outdoor whirlpool, and classic and sports massages.

The costs for the construction of the entire complex amounted to approximately 88 million CZK, of which 52 million CZK was financed from European funds through the ROP NUTS II Northeast. The general contractor of the construction was the Trutnov construction company BAK. With its own capital of 546 million CZK, more than 400 permanent employees, and annual turnover exceeding 2 billion CZK, BAK consistently ranks among the largest construction companies in the Czech Republic. BAK focuses on comprehensive realizations of industrial and logistical halls, commercial and administrative centers, residential and hotel projects, public service constructions, water management and ecological buildings, and also carries out renovations of buildings and heritage sites. Long-standing experience, quality references, stable capital background, and qualified employees enable it to realize investor intentions very efficiently and with the highest quality. Top-quality execution was also significant for the investor of hotel Davídek. Mr. Davídek personally oversaw the details of the joints, joint cuts for tiles and flooring, and it was evident in every aspect how important well-executed details were to him. Ceresit construction chemicals performed fully in accordance with the expectations and needs of the tile setters of BAK, who utilized Ceresit adhesives, grouts, silicones, and sealing materials for the tiles and floors in the hotel room bathrooms, kitchens, and all spaces of the hotel Davídek wellness center.

From the Ceresit construction chemistry range, cement adhesives CM 11+, Ceresit CM 12 and CM 16, grout Ceresit CE 40 Aquastatic, silicone Ceresit CS 25, primer CT 17 and sealing materials Ceresit CL50 and CL 51 were applied in the construction of the new hotel. Technical advisor from Henkel ČR, Miroslav Kučera, evaluated the composition of materials as optimal: "The two-component sealing Ceresit CL 50, along with the flexible adhesive Ceresit CM 16, grout Ceresit CE 40, and sanitary silicone CS 25 are part of our system solution for public showers and spas, for spaces exposed to constant moisture, classified in the II. water resistance class. High temperature and humidity create an ideal environment for mold, and our grouts and silicones with MicroProtect formulation are, like hotel Davídek, a "First Class" solution in terms of mold and microorganism protection. They are not only attractively protected for health and highly resistant, but their color and color stability (thanks to the unique ProColor formulation that guarantees long-term color stability) is also a significant competitive advantage. All these advantages of Ceresit construction chemistry – product quality, system approach, color rendition, high durability and resistance, alongside health protection, have fully manifested in the spaces of hotel Davídek in Trutnov."
