The smooth and silent movement of doors sliding on the wall is ensured by the sliding systems from the TRIX and ROLLO ranges. They not only offer seamless and comfortable handling but also compatibility with various types of doors... This is just the beginning!
The wall sliding door system is undoubtedly one of the solutions to separate two rooms, as well as one that saves space. This is true even though it requires free space on the wall next to the doors, where they will slide. However, their design appearance is also a given. “In this design, the door leaf stands out sufficiently, even when the doors are ‘open’ against the wall,” says Mr. Petr Paksi, CEO of J.A.P., a company that specializes in manufacturing wall sliding systems, and adds: “Wall sliding doors are the simplest solution that does not require major construction alterations. Their spatial requirement is only 0.1 m2 compared to hinged doors. The most common method of use is hanging the leaf with the help of trolleys, when the lower guide of the leaf is secured with a guiding pin and groove on the bottom of the doors.”
Wall sliding systems bring several advantages to the interior. What are they?
They can be combined within one room with pocket doors, i.e., building casings.
There are four types, which are at different levels of equipment, aiming at their use in a particular quality but also in an appropriate design – TRIX ZERO, TRIX ONE, TRIX HEAVY, ROLLO.
Sliding systems are compatible with solid wooden doors as well as glazed and even fully glazed doors. The TRIX HEAVY variant can also be combined with fixed glazed walls.
Models from the TRIX range can be mounted on walls or ceilings. The ROLLO system is designed only for wall mounting.
They are simple solutions during renovations when major construction changes are not desirable. The TRIX ONE variant can also be mounted above the existing preserved wooden trim from hinged doors.
There is an option to supplement sliding systems with silent stops and for some models also synchronous closing at no extra charge.
The color of the cover strip of the sliding systems can be chosen in several RAL shades (white, black, shades of gray), brushed stainless steel, aluminum, or atypical options (antique silver and gold).
Characteristics of individual types of sliding systems
TRIX ZERO
This is a simple sliding system made of aluminum for wooden and fully glazed doors, which is intended for single-leaf and double-leaf doors. The maximum weight of one door leaf is 45 kg. The sliding mechanism is covered by a minimalist rail with a height of 72 mm. The TRIX ZERO slide also includes a silent stop to ensure silent door movement.
TRIX ONE
This is a modular system of several mutually snap-fitting aluminum profiles, from which several variants of slides for wooden and fully glazed doors can be created. Like the TRIX ZERO slide, this one is also intended for single-leaf and double-leaf doors. However, the TRIX ONE slide has a maximum load capacity of one door leaf that is 15 kg higher, i.e., 60 kg. The slide can be mounted on walls, above clean building openings, and as the only variant of the sliding system even above the preserved original trim from hinged doors. The frontal cover strip has a height of 90 mm. In addition to the silent stop, the comfort variant also allows for what is known as synchronous closing, which means that both leaves close or open against each other simultaneously.
TRIX HEAVY
This stainless steel sliding system for single-leaf and double-leaf doors has the highest load capacity for a door leaf, up to 100 kg. It is designed for wooden and fully glazed doors and even allows for combination with fixed glass, resulting in a simple fully glazed wall. The sliding mechanism is also hidden behind a rail with a height of 72 mm. The basic length of the profile is 6 m, but they can also be assembled end-to-end. The TRIX HEAVY can also have a silent stop installed to ensure noiseless door operation.
ROLLO
This represents a highly aesthetic solution for a sliding system, consisting of a stainless steel rod with a diameter of 25 mm, along which pulleys attached to wooden or fully glazed doors slide. It is the only variant of a slide that is not covered by a frontal strip. It is designed for single-leaf and double-leaf doors with a maximum weight of one door leaf of 80 kg. In the case of double-leaf doors, synchronous closing can be installed.
TIP: Slide the doors into the ceiling!
If you want to install a sliding system in the interior but do not have a properly reinforced ceiling, the design sliding system PREMIUM is offered as a solution. “Its rail, along which the doors move, is anchored to the structurally ‘raw’ ceiling and is covered by a visible interior ceiling. This makes the PREMIUM slide ideal for spaces with lowered drywall ceilings that do not allow for the anchoring of other sliding systems,” says Mr. Petr Paksi and adds: “It is always a combination of sliding doors or sliding leaves with fixed partitions.”
