MAPPA!!! is looking for a director

The city of Ostrava announces a selection process for the director of the contributory organization of the City Atelier for Spatial Planning and Architecture (MAPPA).
 

What is MAPPA?

MAPPA is a newly established conceptual workplace in the field of urbanism, architecture, and city creation. The goal of the MAPPA atelier is to positively develop the city for the needs of both current and future generations. The main tasks include the creation of strategic, urban, and spatial development documents, participation in the cultivation of streets, squares, and parks, organizing architectural and urban competitions, preparing transport and development studies, strengthening partnerships and cooperation with universities, experts, and the public, and involving them in the decision-making and planning of Ostrava.

We are looking for a personality who, like us, perceives the opportunities for the development of Ostrava and has the desire, will, and capabilities to positively influence the city.
We seek someone who can engage with diverse personalities, argue publicly, defend their opinions, and create a constructive atmosphere.
We are looking for someone who is interested in contemporary trends in urban planning, the quality of public spaces, urbanism, and architecture.
We seek a manager with the ability to build the MAPPA atelier in the long term, assemble a team of quality people, particularly from the fields of architecture, urbanism, landscape architecture, transportation engineering, data analysis, and marketing, and together with them create and promote development projects for Ostrava.
