Dear readers,
allow me to introduce you to the most modern line DECORAL®, which is a part of the LARGEST POWDER COATING PLANT IN EUROPE operated by ALBIXON a.s. We have experience with this special equipment since 2006.
The technology of this surface treatment ensures a distinctive appearance of the coated surface, achieved by applying a special polyurethane powder paint and subsequently sublimating ink from a transfer foil, into which the coated object is placed. This foil transfers patterns such as wood, granite, marble, carbon, copper, or other atypical designs. All colors and foils used in this technology are certified by Qualideco. The possibilities for artistic and creative solutions are practically limitless. The Decoral line is characterized by maximum quality with absolute precision in creating imaginative and abstract three-dimensional images. In addition to Qualideco certification, our company also holds the very stringent certifications of GSB and Qualicoat.
The maximum possible dimensions of the decorated material are profiles up to 9 m long and sheets measuring 4 x 1 m.

DECORAL® Process
The manufacturing company DECORAL is primarily engaged in decorating aluminum profiles and sheets. However, it is also possible to decorate 3D objects, glass, plastic, ceramics, and other materials resistant to temperatures up to 200°C, at which the decorating process occurs via sublimation. Sublimation is a chemical-physical process by which a substance transitions from the solid state to the gaseous state without passing through a liquid phase.
DECORAL® Process in Practice
To decorate objects, we need the following:
• Equipment for decoration
• Special polyurethane paint with sublimation properties
• Transfer foil printed with sublimation ink
Technological Procedure:
After appropriate pre-treatment, the base of the metal object is electrostatically coated with a powder polyurethane paint 60-90 microns thick, and then baked at a temperature of 200°C. After cooling, the object is wrapped in foil with sublimation ink and placed on a frame from which all air is completely evacuated. Thanks to the vacuum created, the foil perfectly adheres to the entire surface of the object. The next step is to place the frame into the curing oven, where at a temperature of 200°C, the ink penetrates into the baked layer of the powder paint, resulting in a perfect final decoration. After removing the frame from the curing oven in reverse order, the object is cooled with air and then the foil without ink is easily removed.
